Artist Spotlight 17/18 in Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Muziekgebouw Eindhoven and 18/19 NDR Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, where he will perform with Krzysztof Urbanski, Hannu Lintu and Christoph Eschenbach on tour.

Nicolas just performed the highly acclaimed Finnish Premiere of Esa-Pekka Salonen's new cello concerto at the Helsinki Festival under the baton of the composer.

Nicolas Altstaedt will be touring major European venues next seasons with the SWR Orchestra Stuttgart and Teodor Currentzis, Amsterdam Sinfonietta, BBCSSO, La Chambre Philharmonique and Emmanuel Krivine, Basel Chamber Orchestra with Giovanni Antonini, Debuts at Yomiuri Symphony Orchestra in Suntory Hall, Nagoya Philharmonic and Thierry Fischer, Orchestre National de France, Helsinki Philharmonic, Konzerthausorchester Berlin with Juraj Valcuha, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre National de Belgique, Deutsche Sinfonie Orchester with Robin Ticciati, Scottish and Zurich Chamber Orchestras, Les Violons du Roy, Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonica de Galicia, Lahti Symphony Orchestra, Hongkong Sinfonietta, Hungarian National Orchestra,  Gürzenich Orchestra, Lucerne Festival Strings, Concertgebouw and English Chamber Orchestra amongst others.

He will be performing all Bach Suites at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Berlin Philharmonie as well as Auditorio Nacional Madrid, all Beethoven Sonatas with Alexander Lonquich at the Wigmore Hall, Tonhalle Zurich, at the Beethovenfestival Bonn and Philharmonie in Warsaw and a tour with Fazil Say including his debut at the Theatre des Champs-Elysées, Toronto, Bozar and Carnegie Hall.  He will tour Japan with his Orchestra the Haydn Philharmonie as well in recital on a extensive Musica Viva Tour in Australia.

Nicolas receives the Beethoven Ring 2015 for his outstanding interpretations of Beethoven Cello Sonatas with Alexander Lonquich at the Beethovenfest Bonn.
